Book Design
This book, 'Africa,' is part of a larger collection I compiled for a private collector who owned a beautiful, extensive library primarily focused on nature and hunting. I organized the collection into large sections dedicated to continents (America, Asia, Europe, Africa), as well as a special section dedicated to nature written before the 18th Century.
During my time at this library, I photographed, compiled, and designed the books, while also learning a great deal. I became particularly interested in binding, pagination, and the overall quality and value of books. Eventually, I even began purchasing books for the library myself.
It was two years of quite solitary work, completely different from anything I had done before or since.
